Cat Delett is a contemporary narrative painter whose work explores perception, identity, and the invisible emotional weight of everyday life. Working primarily in acrylic, assemblage, and watercolor, she creates intimate figurative paintings that examine the space between outward appearance and internal experience.

Drawing from her lived experience as a neurodivergent person, Delett uses recurring figures, familiar settings, and recurring phrases woven directly into her compositions to explore the quiet performance of being "fine." Her paintings balance humor, vulnerability, and observation, inviting viewers to slow down, look beyond first impressions, and recognize something of themselves in the work.

Her paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout New Jersey and are held in private collections across the United States and internationally. In 2019, her series Two-Way Looking Glass—a collection of text-integrated portraits exploring identity and perception—was presented as a solo exhibition at Teiger Art Gallery.

Delett earned a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration, magna cum laude, from The College of New Jersey and also studied at Nottingham Polytechnic in Nottingham, England. She lives and works in Maplewood, New Jersey.
